Announcing the recipients of the inaugural CATALYTIC FUND
CATALYSTS, the African-led Alliance for abortion rights, has awarded grants to 22 grassroots organizations in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Awarded as part of the inaugural CATALYTIC FUND, these grants will catalyse ongoing work on Shifting Negative Norms and Amplifying Positive Narratives on Abortion Care and Reproductive Justice in East Africa.
This pilot initiative supports locally led, innovative approaches that challenge stigma, reshape public discourse, and advance reproductive justice. The selected organizations reflect the diversity, creativity and leadership driving this movement forward. Grantees include:

- Tanzania: Girls First Initiative; Binti Salha Foundation; Humanity Amplify Organisation; Tanzania Wote; Hope for Youth Development
The CATALYTIC FUND is an initiative of CATALYSTS, a collective of regional and national partners working to strengthen abortion rights across Africa through collaboration, innovation and movement building.
